What are wickless candles?
A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot, or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles.

How is the wax warmed?
Scentsy's beautiful ceramic warmers house a low-watt light bulb that slowly melts the Scentsy Bar or Scentsy Brick, filling your home with one of more than 80 distinctive, long-lasting scents.

The combination of a Scentsy Warmer with a Scentsy Bar is known as a Scentsy System.

Where are Scentsy products made?
Scentsy's wickless candles and home-fragrance products are made in Scentsy's state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Meridian, Idaho. Our ceramic warmers are designed by Scentsy and made to our exact specifications by our manufacturing partner.

Can I buy Scentsy in a retail location?
No. Scentsy is a direct selling company with a field sales force, known as Independent Scentsy Consultants, who sell the products through home parties, open houses, fairs and shows, and fundraisers. Does Scentsy have a catalog of products?

What is a warmer, and where are they made?
The Scentsy candle warmer has no wick, uses no flame, and produces no soot. Instead of a flame, it uses a light bulb to slowly melt soft scented wax bars to maximize fragrance time. The warmers are made from high-quality porcelain or ceramic and come in a variety of styles and sizes to fit any décor. Sizes include Full-Size, Mid-Size, and Plug-In. Scentsy warmers are manufactured in facilities in China to Scentsy specifications and designs. China is one of the best, most efficient countries in the world at ceramic manufacturing.

What is a Plug-In warmer?
The Scentsy Plug-In is a ceramic warmer sized to fit into small spaces with a detachable base that plugs directly into an outlet. It uses a 15-watt bulb to slowly melt Scentsy wickless candle bars and release the fragrance from the wax.

What is a Scentsy Bar and where is it made?
Scentsy uses a custom, food-grade paraffin wax blend selected for its superior scent-loading capability, melting point, and firmness. The Scentsy wickless candle bars are small blocks of scented wax that comes in eight break-apart sections. Because of the wax’s superior scent load capacity, Scentsy candle bars can produce some of the most vibrant fragrances possible. All Scentsy wax is manufactured at Scentsy’s headquarters in Meridian, Idaho.

What light bulbs do the warmers use?
A Full-Size Scentsy Warmer requires a 25-watt light blub. Our Mid-Size warmers need a 20-watt light blub, and a 15-watt blub is required for the Plug-In warmer. A light blub is included with each warmer.

How hot does the wax get when warmed?
Scentsy warmers melt Scentsy Bars at a safe 125 degrees Fahrenheit—the temperature of a typical paraffin cosmetic dip.

What makes Scentsy different from other candles?
Scentsy Bars are much safer than “wicked” candles. The type of wax used is softer than jar candles, which allows for a lower, safer melting point and better fragrance throw. The fragrance in Scentsy wickless candles contains three times the amount of oil used in regular “wicked” candles.

What kind of oil does Scentsy use in its products?
Non-essential fragrance oil.

Do Scentsy products contain phthalates?
No. Scentsy products are made with fragrance oils that do not contain phthalates.

Why doesn’t Scentsy use soy or vegetable-based wax candles?
Vegetable-based waxes do not produce a quality candle bar. Scientific research suggests there are health risks associated with burning any type of candle, be it soy or petroleum. Scentsy warmers melt wax without the use of a flame, which means no chemicals or pollutants are released to contaminate lungs, walls, or furniture.

What is a Direct Sales or Party Plan company?
Direct selling is the person-to-person presentation and sale of products or services. This transaction happens outside of traditional retail locations. Rather than having a physical retail location, Scentsy Independent Consultants sell Scentsy products through home and basket parties, fairs, shows, and a Personal Website.
