Gardner Ahlquist Development will hold a 1:30 p.m. press conference Thursday to officially launch The Portico at Meridian, a 24-acre mixed use development that sits between St. Luke’s Drive and Franklin Road adjacent to Eagle Road.
The press conference will be held on the fourth floor of the Portico West Building, 3277 E. Louise Drive, and will feature remarks by Gov. Butch Otter, Meridian Mayor Tammy de Weerd, Gardner Ahlquist principal J. Thomas Ahlquist and Orville Thompson, co-owner of Scentsy, a Meridian-based manufacture of wickless, scented candles that has leased three floors, or 67,000-square feet of office space, in the six-story 134,000-square feet Portico Office Tower at the intersection of Eagle and Franklin roads.
The development also features 34,000-square feet of retail space that has attracted several new eateries to the Treasure Valley, including Buffalo Wild Wings, Smash Burger, Chronic Tacos and a Ling and Louie’s Asian Bar and Grill that expects to break ground this month.
